The Founders Racing Team had several members competing in the Michigan Mountain Biking Association’s Championship Point Series.  A minimum of five races is required to be eligible for a trophy spot.
Jeremey Karel dominated his category with first place series trophy in Expert Men 29-under, beating his nearest competitor by 43 points!  Awesome season for Jeremy.
Tom Stolz had tough competition with five other racers in the Expert/Elite Single-Speed category.  He held off three challengers to capture the 3rd place trophy.  Single-Speed is a tough category.
Matt Remelts completed the minimum five races in a tough crowd of Expert Men 30-39, finishing 5th in the series, missing a trophy spot by two places.  Good effort Matt!
The Expert Men 50-59 category was also crowded at the top.  Tim “The Monster” Curtis garnered the second place series award, missing 1st place by only two points!  So close, Tim!  Team member Dennis Murphy and team captain Rick Plite finished 4th and 5th respectively in that category
Marnie Tencate will be getting the 2nd place Women’s Expert award against two other major competitors. Marnie clinched her spot at Pando Sept 23rd.  Great ride, Marnie.
Hat’s off to the team.  The regular cross country season is over, but racing isn’t- Cyclocross is still on the calendar and Iceman looms close on Nov 3rd.  Ride hard.
